TFI (Teach For India) is a charitable organisation based out of Mumbai, covering 8 large cities of India since 2009 with 250 strong staff, supporting fundraising, networking, administration, liaison and in management.

TFI has a fellow program, where they recruit fresh graduates of any discipline, who are carefully handpicked a FOyear before the actual recruitment.They are also picked from some Elite institutes. Those who are passionate about bringing about a change to the society they live in, their somewhat strange or unusual upbringing, those who have come out of failures are the ones, whom they look for recruitment. 

They will be trained at their Pune facility and will be contracted to teach for a minimum of 2 years. Later they are free to pursue whatever they want. We learnt  most of them chose to continue with TFI. During this period a stipend of Rs.23,043 + Housing Rent Allowance of 5.3k to 10k per month is paid depending upon the city of placement.

Currently in India Godrej is their major CSR donor. Company also sends a few of its employees on a volunteer program, who are allowed to work 20 hrs a month volunteering.
