Distributed 650 Mask for slum dwellers while creating Covid awerance.

In the beginning, it was all scary and the rules laid by the government, WhatsApp, grandma, and anybody who can talk effectively, were followed by all of us in the foundation.

But the situation faced by so many people around us – who were daily wagers and other economically backward people- never allowed us to be cooped up in our cocoon.  We wanted to do something with whatever resources we had.

As is our usual practice with our Managing trustee, we started with feeding people.  One of our staff prepared large quantities of food along with his friend who was a caterer.  This cooked food was distributed in the surrounding areas.   All of us collectively brought in money from everyone we knew/unknown for this cause.

We also distributed ration to as many as 200 families.  Each Ration bag had 5 kgs of rice, 1kg of dhal, one packet of refined oil and 2 kgs of atta.

Well, come 2021, we had hardly started dropping our guards , we are hit by this “Indian Variant”.  We fully well understood Darwin’s theory of “Survival of the Fittest”.

only option left for everyone is vaccination and nothing else.  We had group discussions to start a random Yoga /pranayama class to just boost everyone’s immunity.

Luckily, we were grounded by more sensible trustees and we contacted doctors who are still doing an awesome job out there.

We got an opportunity to work with Dr Sunil Kumar Hebbi, known as “Mobile Doctor” in Bangalore.  For his mobile Clinic, he wanted some foldable cots, chairs and other supplies like sanitizer, caps, face shields, oxy pulse meter etc.,  We were quite happy to do this.  We are in talk with BBMP and our doctor to start a vaccination camp as per the government norms. 

One of our staff has also obliged during this covid times to supply tea and refreshments to BBMP covid  hospital staff in Jeevanahalli.  

He is one of our “warrior” who takes care of himself while contributing to the cause.

Supply of Home care kit containing medicines with Face shield, Masks and surgical gloves to BBMP hospital, Jeevanahalli.

Our Staffs, while keeping themselves safe, spoke to some of the doctors around Banaswadi and found a BBMP hospital who required some hospital supplies.  

We have supplied them with 200 sets of home care kits with oxy pulse meter, head caps, gloves surgical gloves, Sanitizer etc.

We are in the process of talking to them also for the vaccination drive.

Our foundation organized vaccination drive at GTHPS Jaibharth nagar Bangalore on 3rd June 2021. These vacination drive only for the frontline warriors like auto drivers, cab drivers, maids, securities, street vendors and daily labours. 100 people got vaccinated on same day.
